Collection: Alexandra Strong

Alexandra is a self-taught painter from Berry on the NSW South Coast where she has lived her whole life and now resides with her young family. Her work is a reflection of her natural surroundings, from the lush rolling hills to the intricate rockpools on Seven Mile beach.

Having always painted and explored creativity it was after the birth of her second child that Alexandra felt the intense pull of her practice and need to paint everyday. Painting became a form of meditation and an outlet during early motherhood. Alexandra paints full-time in her Berry studio and continues to evolve her style.

Alexandra sways between intuitive layered work which plays with landscapes and patterns as well as abstract still life - always taking inspiration from the everyday using colour and texture to create pleasing visual stories. . Alex's previous work as a facialist and energy healer has informed her practice and ability to work within an artistic flow and feel a deep connection to her natural environment.
